The property which dates back to the 1700s, is named after my late father’s favourite whisky – from one of the smallest distilleries in Scotland (located near the ‘bonnie toon’ of Pitlochry in Perthshire). My parents used to bring my sister Anne and me here for our annual family holiday when we were little – we’d splash about in the rock pools on the beach and enjoy a mini fish supper out of newspaper from the fish and chip shop on Market Street. The property has been in the family for over 30 years and we have spent many happy times here, including four years at St Andrews University – if the walls could talk.
